My First Plate

This plate was made on my 1930's  Walker Turner Wood Lathe.  Since I a got my lathe I have wanted to make a bowl or plate. I have turned handles for my tools and spoons, but no bowls or plates. The wood is Cherry. The plate is approximately 8" in diameter, with a 1/2 inch lip. Click on the picture for larger view.
